Burning Red [DEMO]

A fantastic demo! Highly recommend, especially for those who are looking for action, sexiness, and some kink in their romance. (Me, its me, I am the audience for this. XD)

This demo feels very paranormal romance, and in all the best ways! The premise is interesting, with our MCs on the run from a shady organization. I am not sure what these two are capable of yet, but am excited to find out! The banter between the two is excellent, which is always something I absolutely love. Their fledgling relationship is rocky enough to be interesting, but with enough soft moments to feel very satisfying. The female lead is fierce and relatable without losing her practicality, and the male lead is grumpy without being cruel.

The art is lovely, and our LI Alvaras is just unfairly sexy. (Plus with the voice acting?! So perfect, so hot, fantastic casting choice and wonderful work on the VA's part) I liked the UI, and the whole aesthetic of the game feels very dark in an interesting way. The writing overall is really well done and flows nicely. There is a lot of story and trauma going on here as well as romance, and it was all handled very well. I did find one text error, which was pretty minor (repeated sentence: "Its now that Alvarez grapples free...")

Now, the 18+ content is excellent and deserves its own paragraph! For everyone who has been thirsty for intimate scenes, this is absolutely your game! Not only is it sexy, but it's also kinky and seems to be portraying kink well. As someone who is familiar with BDSM, I find there is a truly tragic lack of BDSM or kinky relationships in media, never mind realistic and/or healthy ones. It is honestly so wonderful to see this sort of story.

Masterfully done with Burning Red!

My first impressions:

* As a thirsty consumer of two dimension men, and even thirstier consumer of not safe for work (NSFW) content, Burning Red is so satisfying.
Lesson learned: We need more Olivia / Lunamakaio NSFW otome game developers in the world! Please Olivia - can we clone you ten times to finish developing Burning Red faster? And also to develop more games like this, stat? In my dreams......

* Voice acting (partially voiced): Oh man, whoever is the voice talent for Alvarez, my hat off to you. Brilliantly done. Perfect casting. Deep, husky, gruff. Oh, his voice did things to me. Hell yeah!

* Story and writing and editing: So engaging! I'm intrigued by the main character's back story. Had to google this as my Greek mythology is dismal: Achelois means “She who drives away pain.” She was a minor Greek lunar goddess and believed to be petitioned when one was in some sort of pain. So Alvarez as Hades God of War with superhuman strength.

* Title screen is so hot. Logo design is awesome, love the chains and those implications. The fire embers rising are perfect in theme. Alvarez looks like he can carry the main character Hanna with only his right arm. He is seriously buff and super hot. Like whoa, and yes please.

* Overall? Yes, yes, a million times yes! I'm hanging off the edge of my seat waiting for more game. Is it too weird if I hit refresh daily and hope for more updates? Ha, ha, ha. Obsessed and 0% shame in admitting said obsession.

Bravo to Olivia / Lunamakaio! Absolutely outstanding demo.

I think in your "warnings" section it needs a non con warning too. No hate just doing that sort of stuff without any consent is a non con move even if the person agrees afterwards because if they didn't find that "intriguing" it would be counted 100% as SA. Also the technically non con kissing

Ugh, yes. I love gritty themes like this. Throw in a grumpy, grizzled man with a secret soft side, and you have me. I'm excited to see where this goes, as I appreciate the story going on underneath the tense romance we're seeing bud between MC and Alvarez. Also, what a fuckin stellar romance candidate. He feels real. I like that. Not dying to get in our pants as soon as we meet. You build that tension juuuuust right. Bless y'all for that. Anyway, great stuff here, guys. <3

This has it all! Amazing art, a great story and a man who is making my daddy issues act up (thanks for that btw) all toped off with a mc that owns a spine! I will be stalking this page for new updates, Amazing work!

I'm sorry... It's been a long time since I've encountered a demo this divine and I'm out of words. Thank you so much for it!

Burning Red is a captivating game that builds a lot of tension. In a lot of ways, the protagonist is someone with innate & unmet human desires, seeking something more, but feeling self conscious about a rough past/present. Where does Alvarez come in? Exactly as you could imagine: standoffish, tough, typical military hard-ass who's haunted by his own past. The trope makes sense, and being ex-mil myself, I can understand his demeanor.

There's really no way to put this game demo into words without blowing the entire demo, so I'll focus on the game elements:

Writing
5/5 - Absolutely unhinged. I could 100% see this as a full game.

Visuals/Artwork
5/5 - Dark, cold, yet surprisingly reassuring at parts.

Extra Features
5/5 - I mean, NSFW on/off, what more can I say? That's awesome.

Voice Acting
5/5 - Killed it. Perfect for the character.

Music
4/5 -- Don't hate me, it was good about 85% of the time but there were some "eh" moments, it's not so much the quality of the music as it is my personal preference (But personal opinion aside it's a 5/5 for the setting)

Coding
5/5 - I mean, I wasn't exactly digging but I didn't have any issues or notice any bugs, and it ran flawlessly on Linux which is so rare for games these days.

The story is good, and to see a friend's work come to life in this way is incredibly satisfying.

Oh my god. OH MY GOD? This was AMAZING! The writing was phenomenal, the lore I cant wait to learn more. The MC and I have a similar personality so I immediately loved her, and ALVAREZ? An older love interest, his personality, and the way he talks...I genuinely was BLUSHING playing this. I cant wait for the full game and props to the dev for such a creative and intruiging demo!
