this game is awesome (im about an hour into playing) and i love Tali and his character. you and your team did an amazing job with this, its inspiring since i want to make visual novels in the future too, games like this keep me going
i LOVED this! I'm so glad i stumbled over this game. I especially loved the writing and the dialogue. i hope to see more Tali content in the future XP

There's too many ethical issues with Ai stealing content. Also I'd be worried about the searches on AI sites kinda... overshadowing the original art, you know?
I think it's best to befriend those who make OCs for bot RP or make your own rather than take chars from other peoples work.
Only time I don't care much about that is if it's like people making bots of some major game or show. But never small creators works without express permission, and never humans on any basis at all.
Best to assume an artist would not want AI of their work rather than to assume they'd be ok with it. We don't know how many have been victim to seeing AI fakes of their work or anything!
Not saying that's happened here but many of my artist friends have very strong feelings about AI, even if they're not 'anti-AI', because it's so complicated you know?
Yh I was gonna say, as someone who uses ai for RP, I wouldn't want to put a small creators character on such sites.
I use ai bots made by friends specifically created for RP. Otherwise people need explicit consent from creators to ever put their things on such sites.
It should never be a default.

I'm gonna be honest, the amount of time I spent staring at Tali's tiddies throughout the game is very concerning 😭 But I did pay attention to the storyline, and it's so good. Tali's character is straight out of a fairytale! A man who’s independent, respectful, and equally obsessed with you? Yes, please. I’ll take 10 of him!

This is genuinely one of the hottest things I've ever read. Absolutely fabulous job on Taliesin - he's such a magnetic and sexy character, and I hope we see more of him in the future. The MC is also chock full of personality herself, and they make for a seriously dynamic pair. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be over there fanning myself and replaying this.

I really enjoyed this! I don't have much experience with the fated mate concept, but I had a good baseline of knowledge to understand what was going on. The art is amazing, simply stunning. That necklace placement is perfect! I wish the music and sounds were split, as I am an avid BOYM (bring your own music) person, but it really did immerse me regardless. He was such a loveable interest, though I do wish Val had art.

As for the fade to black, I'm uploading the rest of the first scene to my patreon this month, but I know this isn't accessible for everyone. If we do come back for more side stories and such, I will make sure there's a full sex scene or two in there for everyone.

The game doesn't exclude anyone. Men, gay or otherwise, can enjoy the game from the POV of a woman the way women always play games from the POV of a man in every other game genre
sure but that still doesn’t make it the end of the world if someone wants gender-inclusive options. the original commenter wasn’t asking for the otome aspect to be changed anyway; they were just asking for a female protagonist to be specified in the tags (“otome” has lost a lot of its meaning lately, so just saying it’s an otome game may not be clear) so your response was pretty unnecessary

still, plenty of game developers now use “otome” to refer to any type of dating sim. I don’t understand why this person is getting hate just because they asked for a female protagonist to be specified
Yeah, Marlo's right. Technically they should use Amare, but the name for this genre, though correct, doesn't seem to be well known yet. I've seen MANY amare novels labeled as otome, which has led to or is in conjunction with the confusion over what is and isn't an amare rather than otome.
There's actually only a handful of times I've even seen the label used.
Please do not take someone's genuine confusion over amare vrs otome as an attack against vn/ifs catering exclusively toward women. Amare only very recently (within the last four years) was recognized as a subgenre and there's not been much effort to educate anyone about these differences.
The developer, while expressing confusion, has not expressed any difficulty over adding 'female protagonist' to the tags, which helps clear up confusion and even helped some people find this interesting otome game.
I think as a dev, and I know others feel the same, it can just feel like we're being ragged on from all angles sometimes. The initial comment felt a bit snippy to me, though of course that could just be my interpretation of it and my aforementioned defensiveness!
The OP is familiar with my work, and I suppose in my initial response I assumed that meant they understood that my game pages tend to be pretty representative of the content. If there is a gender chooseable MC, that is mentioned on the page and the game is tagged with a wider range of genres. BUT you know what they say about assumptions, lol. My mistake, truly :)
I understand that there is some people who use the otome tag erroneously, but I also think there are a (not insignificant) group of us that just generally view the tag differently.
My games are made for a primarly female/woman/feminine audience, with male LIs, and I do not think a pronoun option changes that they are spiritually and functionally otome, and I think it's the same for some other devs who use the otome tag with pronoun/gender options. Until amare is a popularised term, it's also just untenable for many of us to avoid the otome tag when, as I said, the games are functionally otome.
Just my two pennies, not trying to debate that this game being tagged otome + female protagonist is the right move :)

OMG, I love this so much! As soon as I saw you had another game out, I couldn't wait to play it. Taliesin is to die for. Absolutely perfect. The MC (I went with the default, Isobel) was awesome, too. I love her sarcasm, her spine (telling Val off at the breakfast was fun, lol), and her bond with Tali.
As always, you deliver. That was so much fun! I can't wait to see what's up your sleeve next!!
